STUDY STRATEGIES:EVERYONE HAS DIFFERENT STUDYING HABITS.

TRY THESE TIPS FOR STUDYING:- Exams Are A Terrible And Stressful Thing To Study For, Especially Knowing That They Can Make Or Break Your Final Mark. Being Able To Study In The Proper Manner Will Achieve The Best Results.
HOW TO STUDY WELL
  • In The Fast-Paced World Of Studying For Exams, It's Easy To Forget That There Are Some Study Techniques You Can Use To Improve Your Ability To Retain Information And To Cut Your Studying Time Down. These Tips For Studying Should Help You Learn How To Study Effectively.
  • Look For An Undisturbed Place, Free Of People And Transit Noise. These Things Will Favor Your Concentration.
  • Avoid Listening To Music While You Study. Otherwise, Your Attention May Focus On What Is More Interesting -- In This Case, The Music.
  • Make A Deal With Your Friends To Not Call You While You Are Studying. Turn Off Your Cell Phone.
  • Don't Study In Bed. This Is One Of The Most Important Study Strategies Because You Need To Be Alert When Preparing For Your Exam. If You're In Bed, You May Fall Asleep, And I Bet You Can't Study While You Are Sleeping.
  • Start With Doing Your Reading From The Beginning To The End. Don't Stop To Read Details.
  • Read It Again, But This Time Separating The Most Important Ideas Of Each Paragraph. Search For The Meaning Of Unknown Words.
  • Summarize What You Have Read. You Will Develop Your Study Skills If You're Able To Summarize What You Read Using Short And Objective Phrases.
  • Ask Yourself: What Does This Mean? What Does That Mean? If You Don't Know, Study It Again, And Only Stop It When You Know Everything That Was Initially A Mystery To You.
  • Study For An Hour And Half, With Intervals Of 10 Minutes. Try To Relax Or Eat A Snack During These Intervals; Relaxing Helps You To Retain The Information During Your Studying.
  • Physical Exercise Is Important. The Dose Most Recommend Is 3 Hours A Week. Physical Exercise Is A Good Way To Improve Your Productivity And Overall Welfare.
  • If You Want To Sleep, Don't Study. If You're Sleepy, You Won't Learn Half As Much As When You're Rested.

 TIME MANAGEMENT:

According To Virginia Tech's Cook Counseling Center, One Of The Key Ways To Tackle A Full Load Of Classes Or School-Related Projects Is To Handle Study Time Management Effectively. The Center Recommends Sectioning Out Time To Make Sure You Do Not Miss Anything, Overlook Anything Or Leave Any Work Until The Last Minute. The Idea Is To Create Long-Term Schedules, Short-Term Or Weekly Schedules And Even Daily Must Do Lists. The Concept Behind The Three-Tiered Plan Is To Enable Students To Keep Up With The Big Picture As They Deal With The Daily Grind. This Kind Of Scheduling, When Worked Correctly, Can Help Students Juggle Many Items At Once And Can Make Sure Nothing Is Missed.

MAKE STUDYING A PART OF YOUR EVERYDAY SCHOOL ROUTINE AND DON'T BE LIMITED TO 'CRAMMING' FOR EXAMS AND TESTS.
  • Establish a routine
Set aside a particular time each day for study and revision and stick to it.
  • Create a study environment
This should be away from interruptions and household noise, such as the television. Ensure there is adequate lighting and ventilation, a comfortable chair and appropriate desk.
  • Set a timetable
With a timetable you can plan to cover all your subjects in an organised way, allotting the appropriate time for each without becoming overwhelmed.
  • Look after yourself
Drink plenty of fluids, especially water, and eat healthy foods. Keep sugary foods to a minimum. Make sure you get enough sleep each night. Regular physical exercise makes you feel great, boosts your energy and helps you relax. So try to keep up regular sporting activities or at least fit in some regular exercise as often as you can.
  • Reward yourself for studying
Watch your favourite television program, spend time with your friends, walk to the park and play sport throughout the week.
  • Have variety in your study program
Study different subjects each day and do different types of work and revision in each study session.
  • Avoid interrupting your concentration
Have all the appropriate materials with you before you start a session of study to minimise distractions.
  • Test yourself on what you have studied
Ask your parents or family members to quiz you on what you have learnt, use draft questions from books, past assessments or major exam papers.
  • Don't panic at exam time
If you have followed a study routine and have been revising your class work, there should be no need to worry. Try to keep yourself calm, positive and confident.
  • Ask your teachers for guidance
Especially if you're having trouble - whether it's grasping a new concept or understanding something you learnt earlier in the year. They will be happy to help.

Now You Can Start Developing Effective Study Skills And Habits. Good Luck On Your Next Exam!
